Tailored Horizons: View & Venture | Private 9-Hour Curated Journey

9 hours

Easy

Ditch the rigid tour bus and the language barrier. Tailored Horizons is a premium, 9-hour private experience where you hold the map and we provide the keys. Led by a bilingual Salvadoran-American curator, this is the "blank canvas" of travel—a bespoke day

Private Tour Pricing Note (1–7 Guests): This experience is 100% private for your group only. To reserve the entire vehicle exclusively, bookings require a 4-passenger flat-rate baseline ($270). Solo travelers, couples, and groups of 3 are completely welcome—please simply select "4 Adults" at checkout to book. For groups of 5 to 7, tiered pricing applies automatically.

Most tours are a script; this is a conversation. Tailored Horizons: View & Venture is designed for the independent traveler who values their time and their autonomy.

Why follow someone else's schedule when you can set your own? Whether you want to hunt for the country's best churrasco, explore the artisan villages of the mountains, or spend a long, slow afternoon soaking in the Pacific horizon, your professional driver and cultural liaison is at your disposal.

What makes this experience "Tailored"?

Bilingual Mastery: Your curator is fluent in English and Spanish, acting as your cultural translator and logistical anchor. No more Google Translate stress.

Expert Curation: We don't just drive; we help you sequence your day to avoid Sunday traffic and find the hidden gems that tour groups miss.

Premium Comfort: Relax in our brand-new Changan M60. With panoramic views and powerful AC, it’s your private sanctuary between adventures.

Zero Guesswork: From navigating local customs to securing the best table at a roadside pupusería, we handle the details so you can focus on the view.

Note on Terrain: To ensure your comfort and vehicle safety, this service is dedicated to El Salvador’s paved scenic routes and established destinations. We do not service off-road tracks or extreme 4x4-required rocky inclines.

Please note

    📍 Logistics & Comfort

    • Custom Itinerary: This is a 100% bespoke experience. We recommend contacting us at least 48 hours before your Sunday booking to "blueprint" your ideal route and ensure all desired stops are open and accessible.
    • Pickup Range: Complimentary pickup and drop-off are included for the San Salvador and La Libertad (coastal) areas. If you are staying outside these zones, please message us for a custom quote.
    • The Vessel: You will be traveling in a modern, air-conditioned Changan M60. It is spacious and designed for group comfort, but please limit luggage to small day bags if you are a group of 7.

🚗 Route & Safety (The Boundaries)

    • The Pavement Policy: This service is dedicated to El Salvador’s paved highway system and established scenic roads. To ensure vehicle safety and passenger comfort, we do not offer off-roading, beach-driving, or transit through rugged 4x4 mountain passes.
    • Timing: Your 9-hour window begins at the scheduled pickup time. We recommend an early start (8:00 AM or 9:00 AM) to make the most of the daylight and beat the Sunday afternoon beach traffic.
    • Overtime: If you’re having too much fun to head back, additional hours can be added at a rate of $40 per hour, payable directly to your driver in cash (USD) or via digital payment.

    🎟️ Costs & Preparation

    • Bring Cash: While many places take cards, some hidden gems, pupuserías, and national park entries are Cash Only (USD). We recommend carrying small denominations.
    • Not Included: Please note that entrance fees to National Parks, museums, or private estates, as well as meals and drinks, are the responsibility of the guest.
    • Attire: Depending on your blueprint (mountains vs. coast), temperatures can vary wildly. We recommend bringing a light jacket for the highlands and swimwear/sunscreen for the coast.
    What to bring

      🎒 The Essentials

      • Small Denominations of USD: While El Salvador uses the Dollar and Bitcoin, many local pupuserías, markets, and entrance fees to National Parks only accept small bills ($1, $5, $10).
      • Comfortable Walking Shoes: Even though we stay on the paved roads, exploring colonial towns or volcano paths requires good footwear.
      • Sun Protection: The tropical sun is strong. Bring high-SPF sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, and polarized sunglasses.
      • A Light Jacket or Sweater: It gets surprisingly chilly in the highlands (like Ruta de las Flores or Boquerón), especially in an air-conditioned vehicle.

      🌊 For the "Coastal Chill"

      • Swimwear & Towel: If your "Venture" includes a stop at the Pacific coast.
      • Change of Clothes: To stay fresh if you transition from a hike to a nice dinner.

      📱 Connectivity & Health

      • Portable Power Bank: You’ll be taking plenty of photos and videos; keep your phone charged for the full 9 hours.
      • Personal Medications: If you are prone to motion sickness on winding mountain roads, please plan accordingly.
      • Reusable Water Bottle: We provide bottled water, but we’re happy to help you refill your own to stay hydrated.
