THE FOUNDER & THE VISION
Before launching Beyond the Botanas, founder Michael Alexander spent nearly a decade redefining warm hospitality and Latin American cuisine. In 2016, he founded Boca Botanas—a highly rated, beloved "hidden gem" restaurant celebrated for its authentic flavors, Spanish tapas style, and exceptional customer reviews.
Michael’s culinary journey has always been fueled by creativity and resilience. When the global pandemic shifted the dining landscape, he pivoted by launching three successful virtual restaurant concepts: Cruudo, an extensive ceviche menu; Herby Vegan, focused on innovative plant-based proteins; and Bagel vs Bialy. For eight successful years, his kitchens were defined by vibrant gatherings, rich storytelling, and unforgettable culinary experiences.
Today, Michael is taking that exact same award-winning vibe, five-star service standard, and passion for exciting cuisine out from the restaurant walls and onto the road of exploration.
